Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Launches Early Plans for Hajj 2026



The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has started preparing early for the Hajj season of 2026, working eight months ahead to make services better and improve the experience for pilgrims.

So far, the ministry has made strong progress:

➤ It worked with Hajj offices from more than 60 countries and held over 50 meetings to launch the Saudi buses project for easier transportation. Trending: Saudi Arabia gives green signal for expat dependents to work

➤ Using the Nusuk Masar platform, it approved 16 companies to serve pilgrims coming from abroad, finished automating service guides for 75 countries, and opened 189 hospitality centers.

➤ It prepared 24 companies to serve international pilgrims and gave licenses to more than 11 companies for domestic pilgrims.

➤ It ran 25 workshops to improve services, approved 25 new projects for the coming season, and set up a database to register volunteers for the next Hajj.

These measures demonstrate the ministry's commitment to 2026 as a year of enhanced preparation, streamlined services, and a more pleasant travel for all pilgrims.

More than 53 million people visits Two Holy Mosques in the month of Rabi Al-Awwal 1447 AH:

The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced that 53,572,983 worshippers and visitors came to the Two Holy Mosques during Rabi Al-Awwal 1447 AH. Most Viewed: Complete guide for Umrah visa from India

At the Grand Mosque in Makkah:

๐Ÿ”น A total of 17,560,004 worshippers prayed.

๐Ÿ”น Among them, 91,753 prayed in Hijr Ismail (Al-Hatim).

๐Ÿ”น The number of Umrah performers reached 12,146,516.

 
At the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah:

๐Ÿ”น There were 20,701,560 worshippers.

๐Ÿ”นThis total included 1,002,049 worshippers in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah.

๐Ÿ”น In addition, 2,071,101 visitors offered their salutations to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his two Companions (may Allah be pleased with them).

The authority also explained that it uses advanced sensor-based technology at the main entrances of both mosques to track worshipper and Umrah numbers.
