➤ Travel limits: The Umrah visa allows visiting other cities; the Hajj visa is limited to Makkah and nearby holy sites.

➤ Time: Umrah visas are available all year; Hajj visas are given only in the Hajj season.

➤ Application: Umrah visas can sometimes be applied for online; Hajj visas cannot.

Who Can Apply for an Umrah Visa from India?

■ Must be an Indian Muslim citizen.

■ Must be 18 years or older. Children under 18 must travel with parents or guardians.

■ If the applicant’s name does not clearly show they are Muslim, a certificate from a mosque or Islamic center is required.

■ Women’s rule: Women must travel with a Mahram (close male relative like father, brother, or son). Women over 45 can go without a Mahram if in a group but need a No-Objection Certificate from their Mahram.

3. Tourist Visa with Umrah option

🔹 Tourist visas for Saudi Arabia allow performing Umrah.

🔹 Rules can change, so it is safer to use a dedicated Umrah visa.

How to Apply for an Umrah Visa from India

✅ Select an authorized Umrah travel agent approved by the Saudi Embassy.

✅ Give all documents to the agent.

✅ Pay the visa fee and service charges.
