Public Prosecution warns the violators of Private life through Mobile phone cameras


The Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia warns of penalties awaiting for those who harms the private lives of others, by means of mobile phones and similar, with penalties of one year prison and a fine of 500,000 riyals.







The Public Prosecution said that the sanctity of the person's private life enjoys and guarantees established by law and order, and their violation or infringement is not justified. Trending : Fine for cybercrimes involving financial fraud

- The Public Prosecution explained that in case of any violation on this, criminal accountability is required in this regard. Any person who commits an information crime by violating private life, by misusing mobile phone equipped with a camera or the like shall be punished by the following.

1. Imprisonment of up to 1 year.

2. A fine of up to 500,000 Saudi Riyals.





- Earlier this, the public prosecution warned against exploiting charitable donations for the purpose of hiding or concealing illegal funds and laundering them under the cover of charitable work and that this crime is one of the major crimes that warrant arrest.

- Transferring or sending funds or performing any operation with the knowledge that they are proceeds of the crime. In order to hide the illicit source of such funds or to help any person involved in the commission of the predicate offence.




- Purchase, own or use of funds with the knowledge that they are proceeds of crime or an illegal source. Hiding or disguising the nature source, movement, ownership, location, method of disposal or rights associated with funds, knowing that they are the proceeds of the crime.
