Saudi Arabia’s Latest Reforms to Protect Women’s Rights and Prevent Violence

Saudi Arabia has taken major steps to improve women’s rights. The country has introduced several laws, protection systems, and support services to stop abuse and ensure the safety and dignity of women.

Important national reforms include the Law on Protection from Abuse, the Anti-Harassment Law, and the work of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, which receives abuse reports through the Family Protection Center.

The ministry also runs shelters and offers psychological and social support for women who experience violence. Trending: Saudi Arabia announces new tax in 2026

This message is shared as the world observes the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on November 25. This annual event was created by the United Nations General Assembly in 1999.

The day aims to raise awareness about violence against women, support women’s rights, and encourage real action to end all types of abuse. It highlights an important idea: protecting women helps protect the whole society.

Saudi Arabia’s Human Rights Commission and the National Family Safety Program continue to provide training, awareness campaigns, and media programs that encourage victims to report abuse and ask for help.

All these efforts show the Kingdom’s commitment to improving social security, empowering women, and creating a safe environment that includes not only government organizations but also families, schools, and community institutions. Most Viewed: Saudization of Housing Supervisor Jobs
