Saudi Arabia Announces New Regulatory Requirements for Juice Shops
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has approved new regulations for juice businesses in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has approved these guidelines to promote compliance, reinforce food safety, and ensure proper juice preparation, storage, and serving procedures.
The ministry explained that the new regulations set clear location and planning standards for juice shops and kiosks. They must operate only in approved commercial zones or inside existing commercial centers.

According to the regulations, juice shops must designate distinct spaces for making, serving, and storing their products. Maintaining a clean work area and avoiding cross-contamination when preparing beverages are all benefits of this separation.
The ministry added several preventive measures, including

➤ Listing all ingredients.
➤ Highlighting possible allergens.
➤ It is mandatory to prohibit the serving of any beverage that lacks accurate information about its preparation time and ingredients.

The ministry emphasized the need for informational signage, including

■ A clear price list
■ Continuous availability of electronic payment methods
Juice shops must also display health-awareness materials and provide sealed, clean waste containers. There must be a separate waste collection area placed away from preparation zones to ensure a safe working environment.
The ministry confirmed that it will continue updating municipal requirements for various commercial and service activities as part of its efforts to protect public health and improve service quality in Saudi cities.
