King Salman Calls for Istisqa (Rain-Seeking) Prayer Across Saudi Arabia
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has called on all people in Saudi Arabia to perform the Istisqa prayer (rain-seeking prayer) on Thursday, November 13.
The Royal Court, in a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), said the call follows the Sunnah (Tradition) of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who used to perform this special prayer to ask Allah for rain. Read: Hajj 2025, best in 50 years, with 91% pilgrim satisfaction
King Salman urged everyone to repent to Allah, seek forgiveness, and pray sincerely for mercy and rainfall. He also encouraged Muslims to increase good deeds such as charity, voluntary prayers, and supplications (du’a).
The King advised the faithful to help others, relieve people’s burdens, and support those in need, so that God may ease hardships and bless the nation with His mercy.
In his message, King Salman prayed to Allah Almighty to have mercy on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people and to grant them relief and blessings. Recommend: Saudi Arabia to reward whistleblowers
