Saudi Arabia Implements Second Phase of Saudization for Health Professions

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, announced the start of the second phase of increasing Saudization rates for four health professions in the private sector.

This phase will begin on October 17, 2025, according to the approved professional definitions and classifications. Recommend: Saudi Arabia launches King Salman Gate project near the Makkah Grand Mosque

Under this new rule:

➤ Clinical nutrition and physical therapy professions must reach 80% Saudization.

➤ Medical laboratories must reach 70% Saudization.

➤ Radiology must reach 65% Saudization.

The minimum salary is set at SR7,000 for specialists and SR5,000 for technicians. The decision covers all private health facilities in Saudi Arabia.

The MHRSD has published guidelines on its website explaining the details of implementation, required Saudization ratios, and compliance steps. The ministry urged private establishments to follow the new rules to avoid regulatory penalties.

This move continues the government’s nationalization efforts in health professions. The Ministry of Health will oversee the implementation to make sure it satisfies the needs of the job market.
