Ahmed Al-Khateeb, minister of tourism, unveiled the platform, which has an international advisory board of renowned experts in the field.

Through top-level cooperation, strategic investments, and the incorporation of innovative technology, TOURISE seeks to start a revolution in the worldwide tourist industry all year round. With an eye toward sustainability and long-term impact, it seeks to help attract a record number of deals and investment opportunities.

In 2025, Riyadh will host the first-ever TOURISE Summit, an invitation-only event that will run from November 11th to the 13th.

The event will cover four main points: artificial intelligence (AI) in tourism, new investment opportunities, improving the travel experience, and achieving sustainable development through tourism.

Businesses and startups from around the world will showcase their cutting-edge innovations in areas including artificial intelligence (AI), mobility (M2), and sustainability (Sustainability Zone). Recommend: Pilgrims can now obtain and activate eSIM from applications on arrival in Saudi Arabia

“Tourism is one of the most dynamic, connective forces in the world’s economy, supporting one in ten jobs globally,” Al-Khateeb said at the virtual launch. The future of tourism can be shaped on TOURISE, the much-needed platform. More flexible, connected, and welcoming than ever, the sector will be made possible by bringing together the right individuals to form collaborations and develop creative solutions.

The World Travel and Tourism Council's (WTTC) president and chief executive officer, Julia Simpson, agreed, saying, "Public-private sector collaboration is critical to the continued success of travel and tourism."

Together, we can build a better, more sustainable future through TOURISE. The TOURISE Awards, a worldwide program that recognizes excellence in sustainability, digital transformation, inclusive tourism, cultural preservation, and workforce development, will also be unveiled at TOURISE. The Riyadh summit will announce the winners, and nominations will be accepted until June 2. See Also: Saudi Arabia has the largest digital economy in Middle East and Nothern Africa region

With its inauguration, Saudi Arabia further solidifies its position as a world leader in tourism, having met its Vision 2030 target of 100 million visitors per year seven years early. The tourism industry is currently the Kingdom's second-largest economic driver, behind only oil, at almost 5%. Follow Saudi Expatriates on X
