King Salman orders the hosting of 1300 pilgrims from 100 countries for Hajj
King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, ordered hosting 1,300 male and female pilgrims from 100 countries to perform the Hajj rituals this year, 1446 AH. The program, run by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance, is part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visitation. This generous directive reflects the efforts of the wise leadership in serving the causes of the Islamic nation and confirms the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's firm position in the Islamic world.
On this occasion, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and General Supervisor of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, for this generous directive.
He explained that immediately following the royal instruction, the ministry began utilizing all of its resources and energies to give the greatest services to the visitors.
Religious, cultural, and scientific events, as well as trips to Madinah and Makkah's most important historical and Islamic sites, were all part of the well-thought-out implementation plan. The intellectual and spiritual significance of this fortunate journey was enhanced through scheduled meetings with various experts and imams of the Two Holy Mosques. Its goals involve developing relationships with prominent Islamic scholars, scientists, and religious figures and improving cross-cultural and interfaith communication.
Since its launch in 1417 AH, the program has hosted nearly 65,000 pilgrims from 140 countries. From the moment they were nominated until their return to their countries after performing the Hajj rituals, the Ministry of Health and Culture provided an integrated system of logistical, religious, health, and cultural services to these pilgrims.
The Minister of Islamic Affairs highlighted that this hosting shows the endless generosity of the Kingdom toward Islam and Muslims. It also reflects the kingdom's intentions to strengthen ties with Islamic communities and increase its positive influence worldwide, all in achieving the Islamic and humanitarian aims of Vision 2030.
The Crown Prince and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques have done wonderful work serving Islam and Muslims, and he asked Allah (SWT) to bless them with eternal happiness and unlimited prosperity as they continued to lead the Kingdom in many areas.
