International pilgrims can now obtain and activate their eSIM cards immediately through service provider applications, providing seamless digital connectivity upon arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, thanks to the authorities. With the support of the Ministry of the Interior (MoI) and authorized telecom providers, the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) coordinates the collaborative effort.
Through the "Absher" platform, pilgrims can obtain eSIM cards from local providers, which are thereafter digitally confirmed and activated through biometric verification.
It is not necessary for pilgrims to go to service branches or wait until they reach their accommodations because this procedure makes sure that they are connected as soon as they arrive.
As part of CST's larger efforts to provide assistance to pilgrims through the implementation of the latest digital technologies, this initiative has been launched. Most Viewed: Saudi King orders hosting of 1000 pilgrims at his expenses from Palestine
