Saudi Arabia to Enforce SR500 Fine for Failure to Submit Beneficial Owner Information



The Ministry of Commerce announced new plans to fine companies that fail to disclose their beneficial owner information or submit the required yearly confirmation of this information.

The proposed fine is SR500. If a company repeats the violation of not submitting the annual confirmation within one year of the previous one, the fine will increase by 50%. Recommend: Saudi Moroor warns of new traffic violations and their related fines

According to the draft ministerial resolution, posted on the "Istilaa" platform for public comments before approval, any company that does not provide its beneficial owner data or does not submit the annual confirmation within the deadline set by the beneficial owner regulations will receive a direct SR500 penalty.

The goal is to improve compliance, strengthen oversight and enforcement, and ensure fair application of fines.
