Saudi Jawazat Explains Fine for Not Leaving After Final Exit Visa



The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia explained the fine that applies if a person does not leave the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the validity period of a final exit visa.

The Directorate said on its official X account that if a person does not leave within 60 days of the visa’s validity, a fine of 1,000 riyals will be charged to cancel the visa. The Directorate explained the importance of the resident Iqama’s validity, saying that official instructions require the iqama to be valid when issuing or canceling a final exit visa.

Employer's duty after issuing Final exit visa:

The Directorate authority reminded employers that they must follow up on the resident’s departure after issuing a final exit visa.

If the resident has been granted a final exit visa, the employer must ensure the person leaves and not just issue the visa.

If the employer does not know the resident’s location, they must cancel the visa and file an absence report.
