A follower asked on Jawazat’s official X account:

"Can the exit and re-entry visa be extended after it expires? What is the deadline?"

Jawazat replied that as long as the person is still registered under the sponsor’s record, the exit and re-entry visa for those outside the Kingdom can be extended electronically.

The extension process requires paying the necessary fees through the SADAD service, available on both the Absher and Muqeem platforms for employers.

To renew an exit and re-entry visa for domestic workers outside Saudi Arabia:

1. Log in to the Absher platform.

2. Select Labor Services.

3. Choose Services, then select Visas.

To renew an exit and re-entry visa for accompanying family members outside the Kingdom:

1. Log in to the Absher platform.

2. Choose Family Member Services.

3. Select Services, then click on Visas.

Jawazat clarified that if the visa duration is set in months (60, 90, or 120 days), it is valid for three months for travel from the date of issuance. The actual visa period starts with the date of travel.

Jawazat also confirmed that an exit and re-entry visa can be issued for more than one year, provided that the resident’s ID (Iqama) remains valid for the full duration of the requested period.

Citizens and employers can complete the visa issuance or renewal process after paying the required fees through either the Absher or Muqeem platform.

According to the General Directorate of Passports, the fees for extending exit and re-entry visas for those outside the Kingdom are as follows:

➤ 100 Saudi Riyals for a single-entry visa.

➤ 200 Saudi Riyals for a multiple-entry visa.

All fees must be paid through the government payment system (SADAD) available at Saudi banks before submitting the extension request.

To successfully extend an exit and re-entry visa, the resident’s ID (Iqama) must have a validity period of at least 90 days remaining.

Before applying for an extension, the required fees must be paid via SADAD, a secure electronic payment system used in Saudi Arabia.
