Saudi Arabia to bear the costs of Entry visa e-services for the holders of Hayya card of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022


The Saudi Cabinet chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Salam palace in Jeddah, agreed that the state bears the costs of e-services, related to e-visas service platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for issuing an entry visa to the Kingdom for the holders of Haya card of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 event. Al-Hayya card is fan id and personalized document that is issued and required by every single person attending FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches.

- Earlier this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia announced that Saudi Arabia will welcome all the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 fans, who are the holders of Hayya Card to spend 60 days in the Kingdom during the World Cup season.

The Council of Ministers in Saudi Arabia also approved the following.

1. Authorizing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or his representative to discuss with the Japanese side a draft memorandum of understanding regarding the establishment of a strategic dialogue betweeen the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia and Japan, to sign it and submit the final signed copy to complete the regular procedures.





2. Authorizing the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance or his representative to discuss with the Nigerian side a draft memorandum of understanding between Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Interior and Decentralization in Niger in the field of Islamic Affairs, sign it and then submit the finale signed copy to complete the formalities.

3. Authorizing the Ministry of Tourism or his representative to discuss with the Kuwaiti side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Tourism in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Information and Culture in Kuwait for cooperation in the field of Tourism, sign it and submit the final signed copy to complete the regulatory procedures. 4. Authorizing the Minister of Information, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Audio-Visual Media or his representative to discuss with the Iraqi side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Arabia and the Media and Communications Commission of Iraq in the field of Audio-Visual and Print Media, sign it and upload the final copy to complete the legal procedures.




5. Approval of a memorandum of understanding between the General Department of Financial Intelligence in the Presidency of State Security in Saudi Arabia an the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Unit in the Egypt regarding cooperation in the exchange of financial investigations related to money laundering and related to predicate crimes and financing. 6. Agreeing that the state bears the costs of the e-services related to e-visa services platform at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that are obtained in return of issuing an entry visa to Saudi Arabia for the holders of the Haya fan card for the Qatar 2022 World Cup event.




7. Approval of an appointment to the post of Minister Plenipotentiary and a promotion to the rank of 14th as follows.

* Shafi bin Bijad bin Ashq Al-Otaibi was appointed to the position of Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. See Also : Nusuk platform for Umrah and visit visas of Saudi Arabia

* Eng. Matar bin Abdullah bin Saleh AL-Malki is promoted to the position of Secretary Undersecretary at the 14th rank in the Jeddah Municipality.
