Saudi Arabia arrests 14,509 violators of Residency, Work and Border regulations within 1 week


The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced the arrest of 14,509 violators of the residency, work and border regulations as part of the ongoing join security campaign in all regions of the Kingdom within just 1 week.







The Ministry said the join field campaigns to follow up and control violators of the residency, work and border security regulations, which took place in all regions of Saudi Arabia during 28th July 2022 until 3rd August 2022, resulted in the following.

1. The total number of violators arrested in joint security field inspections in all regions amounted to 14,509, of them 8,581 are the violators of the residence system, 4,337 violators of the border security system and 1,591 violators of labor law. Trending : 4 penalties for using signatures for fraud

2. A total of 420 people were arrested while trying to cross the border into Saudi Arabia, of them 43% were Yemenis, 48% were Ethiopians and 9% were the other nationals. 22 people were arrested for trying to cross the border out of the Kingdom in an irregular manner.





3. A total of 12 people were arrested for their involvement in transporting, harboring and operating violators of the residency, work and border security regulations and covering them up.

4. The total number of expatriates violated who are currently subjected to the procedures of implementing the regulations is 54,739, of whom 51,658 are men and 3,081 are women. Most Viewed : 3 penalties for employing illegal and violating expats

5. 42,592 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to get travel documents, 3,509 violators were referred to complete their travel reservations and 11,337 violators were deported.




- The Ministry of Interior confirmed that those who facilitates the entry of violators of the border security law into Saudi Arabia or transports them within it, provides them with shelter, or any assistance or service in anyway, exposes themselves into the penalties of up to 15 years of imprisonment and fine of up to 1 million riyals and the seizure of the means of transport, housing in addition to defamation of them.

- The Ministry stated that such crimes are one of the major crimes, which requires arrest and breach of honor and honesty, calling to report like violations on 911 in the regions of Makkah and Riyadh and 999 or 996 for the rest of the regions of the Kingdom.
