 Hajj pilgrims to benefit from Longest Walkway in the World connecting Arafat, Muzdalifa and Mina holy sites in Makkah


This year's Hajj pilgrimage 2022 to witness the pilgrims benefit from the longest pedestrian walkway in the world, linking the holy sites, starting from Arafat and ending at the site of Mina, passing through Muzdalifah. Like and Follow Saudi Expatriates on Facebook







This road was implemented with 4 lanes with a total length of more than 25 km, and so why it is considered as one of the longest pedestrian roads in the world. The length of the first road is 5,100 meters, the second is 7,580 meters and the third is 7,556 meters and the fourth is 4,620 meters.

- These tracks also included the installation of 500,000 square meters of interlock tiles, 500 concrete barriers and 1,000 chairs for pilgrims to rest. To ease the movement of pilgrims, umbrellas were installed to protect them from the high heat of the sun, including spray columns to cool the hot weather. - These pedestrian road also includes 57 directional panels, over 400 high-tech lighting poles, 810 LED lanterns, 25 to 30 meter high lighting towers and 100 watt lanterns and more than 400 garbage bins have been installed on both sides of the road.





- These longest walkway also contains a special corridor for people with special needs, with the aim of easing the performance of pilgrim's rituals and helping them to move around the holy sites without difficulties or dangers threatening their safety.

- The road was completely covered, chairs were installed on both sides of the road to ensure the comfort of the pilgrims, umbrellas were installed to protect pilgrims from the sun rays and spherical concrete barriers were placed to prevent vehicles from entering the pedestrian path.
