Saudi Arabia Arrests 22,156 Residency, Work, and Border Violators in One Week



The Ministry of Interior said that joint field campaigns arrested 22,156 people who violated residency, work, and border security rules within one week.

The Ministry explained that these campaigns took place across all regions of the Kingdom from 05/15/1447 AH (11/06/2025 AD) to 05/21/1447 AH (11/12/2025 AD). The results were as follows:

1. Total Violators Arrested

A total of 22,156 violators were arrested in joint security campaigns:

➤ 14,027 violated residency rules

➤ 4,781 violated border security rules

2. Border Crossing Attempts

A total of 1,924 people were arrested while trying to enter the Kingdom illegally:

๐Ÿ”น 37% were Yemenis

๐Ÿ”น 62% were Ethiopians

๐Ÿ”น 1% from other nationalities

Furthermore, 32 people were arrested for trying to leave the Kingdom illegally.

3. People Assisting Violators

Authorities arrested 31 people for transporting, sheltering, employing, or covering up violators of residency, work, and border security rules.

4. People Under Legal Procedures

There are currently 30,236 violators undergoing legal procedures:

5. Deportation Procedures

✅ 22,091 violators were sent to their embassies to get travel documents

✅ 4,784 violators were sent to complete travel bookings

✅ 14,916 violators were deported

The Ministry of Interior warned that anyone who helps violators enter the Kingdom, transports them, provides shelter, or offers any kind of assistance may face:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Up to 15 years in prison

๐Ÿ‘‰ A fine up to one million riyals

๐Ÿ‘‰ Confiscation of vehicles and housing used

๐Ÿ‘‰ Public defamation

The Ministry added that this crime is considered a major offense requiring arrest and is against honor and trust. It urged the public to report violators by calling 911 in Makkah, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Region, and 999 or 996 in the rest of the Kingdom.
