SAUDI EXPATRIATES

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), together with the Ministry of Sports, announced that sports centers with four or more employees must achieve a 15% Saudization rate. The decision covers 12 specific roles in men’s and women’s gyms and sports centers. These roles include:

➤ Professional football coach

➤ Sports supervisor

➤ Personal trainer

➤ Professional athletics coach

This move is meant to improve the quality of sports services in the private sector and support a more professional sports environment.

The MHRSD will offer several support programs to help these businesses hire Saudi citizens. These programs include:

🔘 Training and qualification

🔘 Employment support

🔘 Job retention support

🔘 Priority access to localization programs

🔘 Support through the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF)

The ministry has also published a procedural guide on its website. This guide explains all details of the Saudization decision, the required percentage, and the list of targeted professions. This announcement reflects strong cooperation between the MHRSD and the Ministry of Sports.
