How to extend the Wife's exit/re-entry visa who is outside the Kingdom
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has explained the rules and details for extending an exit and re-entry visa for a wife or other dependents who are currently outside the Kingdom.
Extending the Visa While Dependents Are Abroad:
If the head of the family is inside Saudi Arabia, the resident ID can be renewed even if dependents or companions are abroad. Thereafter, the exit and re-entry visa can be extended electronically once the required fees are paid through the SADAD service on the Absher platform. How to Extend an Exit and Re-Entry Visa Through Absher
The Passports Authority (Saudi Jawazat) confirmed that if the dependent is still registered with the sponsor (expatriate or employer, or citizen), the visa can be extended electronically. This can be done by the employer or an expat through Absher or the Muqeem platform.
The steps to extend the visa through Absher are:
1. Log in to the Absher Individuals platform.
2. Sign in using your username or ID number and password.
3. Enter the code sent via SMS to your registered mobile number.
4. Go to the section Family Members of electronic services, then choose Visa Services.
5. Read the terms and conditions, then click "Agree."
6. Review the beneficiary’s information, select the extension period, and click (Visa Extension).
7. Click Confirm to finalize.
8. You will receive a confirmation message that the visa has been successfully extended.

Conditions for Extending Exit and Re-Entry Visa
✅ Sponsor and beneficiary status must be valid (not dead, not reported absent, and no Istiqdam violation).
🚫 The beneficiary must not be in Saudi Arabia at the time of the visa extension.
📅 The return to Saudi Arabia date must be at least 7 days before the Iqama expiry.
🆔 The validity of the Iqama must be greater than or equal to the sum of the visa duration and 90 days if the "Duration in Days" option is selected for a single exit and re-entry visa.
✈️ In the case of the “Return to KSA Date” option, the chosen date will be the last day allowed to return to Saudi Arabia.
📆 The Gregorian date will be used if there is any difference between the Hijri and Gregorian dates.
💳 The visa extension fee must be paid through the official channels.
