Is it possible to cancel an Absent From Work report for a worker after 2 years? HR Ministry response
The official account for the care of beneficiaries of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development clarified, via its page on the X website, that once the relationship is terminated due to a break in work, the expatriate’s data is dropped from the employer’s establishment, and his status with the Ministry of Interior remains valid. Human Resources explained that if the employer reports "absent from work" or huroob for an employee or a worker, that worker has 60 days to transfer jobs or to get a final exit. If the period of 60 days ends and the expatriate does not take one of the two procedures, either transfer of service or final exit, his status will change to being absent from work in the Ministry of Interior.
The ministry confirmed that in both cases, the employer has absolved himself of responsibility for the worker.
This came in response to a follower's inquiry: "Will someone who is absent be removed from Absher?"
In the case of a private driver who has been reported as "absent from work" or huroob, the employer can cancel it within 15 days of the report date through the Tawasul service on the Absher e-service platform.
This comes as a response from Jawazat to an inquiry: "I have a private driver who has been reported as huroob, and I want to cancel his absent from work report." Recommend: 5 steps to check vehicle insurance validity online
In a similar question, a user asked the Ministry of Human Resources, "Is it possible to cancel an absence from work report two years after the date of the report for the profession of a private driver?"
The HR ministry responded, stating a domestic worker's absence report cannot be cancelled if the report date exceeds one year.
Procedure to report absence of domestic workers:
The Absher platform previously revealed the possibility of reporting domestic workers' absence electronically via the user's account with ease.
A report of the absence of domestic workers can be submitted by the following steps:
* Log in to the Absher platform, then select "Services" from the Labor tab.
* Choose to report the absence of the domestic worker. Read: Will the exit re-entry visa fee be refunded if it is cancelled? Jawazat response
