In a post on its official "Facebook" page, the "Jeddah astronomer" explained that "the sun at the moment of perpendicularity will be at its maximum height of approximately 90 degrees, and the shadow of the Kaaba will completely disappear, as well as the shadows of all objects in Makkah, and become the shadow of the sun." The sun will be tilted in the distant regions skies at this time, but the meridian is zero. Trending : Mataf expansion at the Makkah Grand Mosque named as Saudi Riwaq

- The Holy Kaaba is situated between the equator and the Tropic of Cancer, which causes the sun to seem perpendicular. The sun appears to move across the sky, becoming straight with the Kaaba in May when it crosses from the equator to the Tropic of Cancer and again in July as it returns south to the equator from the orbit of Cancer.

- The "Jeddah Astronomy" stated that "the regions located in latitudes less than 23.5 degrees north and south all witness this phenomenon twice a year, but at different times depending on that place's latitude," and that "it is separated by a few places limited between the equator", Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. - The phenomenon of perpendicularity is one of the methods used by the ancients to determine the direction of the Qiblah in a very precise manner. They did this by using a piece of wood that was put up perpendicular to the surface of the earth, and at the time of perpendicularity, the opposite direction of the shadow points towards the Holy Kaaba completely for all residents in areas far from Makkah in Arab countries and regions bordering the North Pole, Africa, Europe, China, Russia and East Asia.
