We will compensate those affected by Heavy rains and Torrential floods - Jeddah Municipality


The Jeddah Municipality spokesperson, Muhammad Obaid Al-Baqami confirmed that those affected by the rains and torrential floods that the Jeddah witnessed on 24th November 2022, will be compensated. Subscribe to Saudi Expatriates YouTube channel








Al-Baqami explained that the mechanism for compensation will be same as what happened in the year 2009. He added that those affected can apply to the Crisis and Disaster Center represented in all government departments.

- This is to limit the damages and losses and to take regular measures to pay compensation for those who are affected by the heavy rains and torrential floods in the Jeddah governorate. The governorate has not seen anything like it since the year 2009. Related : Jeddah Municipality continues its efforts to remove rainwater and road waste

- Jeddah governorate witnessed medium to heavy rains on Thursday (24th November), which prompted the General Directorate of Civil Defense to assure everyone of the need to take caution in light of the climatic condition in the region and not to go out except for necessity.





- Meanwhile, Saudi Moroor warned against crossing valleys and reefs, while they are flow, especially in light of the heavy rains in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

- Those who are crossing valleys while they are flowing is considered as a serious act and traffic violation, which dangers the lives of citizens and the fine of it ranges between 5,000 to 10,000 riyals. Similar : Crossing valleys and reefs during its flow is a traffic violation
