Saudi Arabia delivers Humanitarian Aid worth 3.2 million dollars to Philippines


In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saudi, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) delivered humanitarian aid to the Philippines worth $3.2 million to confront coronavirus and to reduce the effects of Typhoon Rai. This financial aid included in-kind aid with medical and preventive equipment and supplies worth $1.7 million to confront Covid-19 and to deliver financial support to the Philippine Ministry of Health in the amount $1.5 million to reduce the effects of Typhoon Rai that hit the Philippines recently and to assist relief works and health emergencies in the city of Marawi. - Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Moallem handed over the financial and in-kind support to the Filipino side, in the presence of the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Philippines Hisham bin Sultan Al-Qahtani and from the Filipino side, Deputy Foreign Minister Lourdes Ibaraguieire and a number of Filipino officials at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs outside the capital Manila.





- The Philippine officials thanked Saudi Arabia for its generous support and standing with the Philippines to confront its health and natural crises.

- This comes in line with the King Salman Relief Center keenness that its programs include all humanitarian and relief sectors for needy and affected countries around the world, as per the actual need, in coordination with government partners, international and local organizations, to reach the beneficiaries and to reduce the complications of humanitarian crises.
