Saudi Arabia executed 81 men in 1 Day on terrorism and other charges


The file of Al-Dalwah bombing in Al-Ahsa, in the Eastern province of Saudi Arabia has come to a close with the announcement of execution of 81 people who accepted extremism and deviant thought.



From the 81 executed, 73 were Saudi citizens, 7 Yemeni nationals and 1 Syrian. The accused were given with the right to an attorney and were guaranteed their full rights as per Saudi law during the judicial process, which found them guilty of committing various crimes that left a large number of civilians and law enforcement officers dead.

- They included 8 terrorists who were convicted of carrying carrying out attack at Al-Dalwah village on Ashura day of 3rd November 2014, when 3 masked gunmen shot at a group of people, killing 8 people and injuring 9 others. - They were accused of committing various crimes like shooting at citizens in the village of Al-Dalwah during Muharram, which resulted in the killing of a number of citizens, children and 2 security men and injuring several people and securing weapons and ammunition for them.

- Al-Ahsa, which was known for tolerance and fellowship among various segments of local society, turned into a field for a terrorist attack at the end of the year 2014, with an secondary design of triggering separatist dispute in the Saudi society, as per the report of Al-Arabiya.

- Four terrorists attacked the Husseiniya Al-Dalwah during an Ashura event on 10th Muharram. With the Al-Dalwah bombing, the Daesh terrorist organization had opened a series of bloody operations that targeted places of worship and gatherings of innocent civilians in the region. - The Ministry of Interior achieved great success in dealing severely with the Al-Dalwah bombing, as the identities of the offenders of the attack were quickly revealed just 10 hours after the incident.

- Six suspects were arrested from Sharqa, Al-Khobar and Al-Ahsa, while 15 suspects were arrested by security forces who had a close link with the attack, reported Saudi Gazette.

- According to the Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki, the security spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, the time that perpetrators of the crime were 4 people, one of them was a leader and was associated with Daesh. Read : Saudi Arabia arrests a person who insulted God

- They started operation after receiving orders from abroad, specifying the targets and the time of execution in Al-Ahsa region. They surveyed the site and executed their crime, after they stole a citizen's car and killed him and used it to carry out various attacks.

- The executions on Saturday also included those, who are convicted of various crimes, including the murdering of innocent men, women and children. While some of them were members of Al-Qiada and some backers of Yemen's Houthi rebels.

- The head of the Human Rights Association in Saudi Arabia, Khaled Al-Fakhri, said that the verdict of retribution against 81 terrorists was issued with the aim of preserving the security of society.

He added, All the crimes assigned to the convicts are major crimes that necessitated the imposition of the most severe penalties to discourage those who tempt themselves to transgress the rights of others and protect human rights from terrorist acts. 

- Al-Fakhri continued saying, This came in accordance with the requirements of the state's duty to preserve the security of society and public and private property, and to discourage those who carry out such acts with appropriate penalties by referring them to the judiciary.
