20,000 riyals fine for Cutting, Uprooting, Transporting, destroying or Trading a Tree from Vegetation cover without a license


The Special Forces for Environmental Security (SFES) in Saudi Arabia warned against cutting trees from vegetation greenery lands, uprooting them, transporting them, tear down or destroying them, or trading them without a license, as it comes under the violation of Environmental Law.







The Special Forces for Environmental Security, through its official Twitter account, stated that the penalty for cutting trees from vegetation lands is a fine of up to 20,000 riyals for each tree.

- The Special Forces for Environmental Security had announced the arrest of a Pakistani expat in the Kingdom for violating the environment law, for transporting 29 cubic meters of local firewood in the Huraymila Governorate. - The official spokesperson explained that the penalty for transporting local firewood is a fine of up to 16,000 riyals per cubic meter, calling on everyone to report any cases that represent an attack on the environment or wildlife on the number 911 in the regions of Makkah and Riyadh, 999 and 996 for all regions of the Kingdom.





- The Environmental Security highlighted that, it will strictly apply the executive regulations of Environmental Law and would not show any kind towards its violators.

- This comes within the framework of the campaign carried out by the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Special Forces for Environmental Security, in following up the activities of marketing, selling or transporting local firewood, and what is published in this field through various electronic platforms. - These laws deal with the protection of vegetation, forests, rangelands and regulating their use. There are more provisions in the Forest and Rangeland Law to impose penalties against anyone who trades in local firewood or charcoal or transporting them with a fine between 10,000 to 50,000 riyals per ton.
