Ministry of Interior announces the arrests of 13,360 violators of residency, work and border security regulations within 1 week


The joint field campaigns to follow up and control violators of the residency, work and border security regulations carried out by the entities of security forces and the Jawazat, which took place in all regions and governorates of Saudi Arabia, from 3rd March 2022 to 9th March 2022, leads to arrest 13,360 illegals. Follow Saudi Expatriates on imo channel







1. The total number of violators caught during the inspections all over the Kingdom amounted to 13,360, of them 7,533 are the violators of residence law, 3,884 violators arrested for the border security regulations, while 1,943 expats arrested for violating the Saudi Labor Law.

2. 253 people were arrested while trying to cross the border into the Kingdom, Of them 58% are Ethiopians, 38% Yemenis and 4% belongs to other nationalities, while 172 people were arrested while trying to cross the border out of the Kingdom. Most Viewed : Saudi Arabia allows non-vaccinated resident expats to enter into Kingdom

3. Six people were arrested who were involved in transporting, operating and providing shelters to the violators of residency, work and border regulations and covering them up.





4. The total number of violators, who are currently subject to punitive measures, accounted to 102,210 of them 90,274 are men and 11,936 are women.

5. Total of 90,137 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to get travel documents for deportation, 2,739 were referred to complete their travel reservations and 8,499 violators were deported. See Also : Saudi Arabia scraps all corona restrictions

- The Ministry confirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of violators of the border security law into the Kingdom, or transports them within it, or provides them with shelter, or any assistance or service in any way will exposes them to below penalties.





- The fines includes jail term of up to 15 years, a fine of up to 1 million riyals, and seizure of the means of transportation and housing used for shelter, including defaming them, and clarified that this crime is one of the major crimes  in the Kingdom which require arrest, calling everyone to report any violation cases to the number 911 in the regions of Makkah and Riyadh, and 999 and 996 in all regions of the Kingdom. Recommend : Saudi Arabia approves new personal status law
