Great turnout to take Booster dose of Corona Vaccine, Health advise to Vaccinate Children
The Deputy Assistant Director-General for Public Health, Dr. Sayid Nawaf bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Eastern region Health, said that there is a great demand for the booster dose in the vaccination centers.
While speaking to Al-Ikhbariya channel, he added, We started vaccinating children below 12 years old from Tuesday and the result is very promising, and giving the booster dose began for those who completed 3 months after their 2nd dose and the turnout is good.

- Children have the right to receive this vaccination and they have right to lead their lives normally and to protect them from diseases, Al-Otaibi added.
- Today, The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia confirmed 332 new corona infections, 121 new recoveries and 1 death in the last 24 hours, bringing up the total corona cases in the Kingdom to 552,081 of them 540,627 recovered with 8,869 deaths.
- Active cases of corona virus in the Kingdom jumps to 2,585 of them 36 are critical. Riyadh tops in active cases with 419 infections, Jeddah with 305, Makkah with 240, while Madina has 105 active corona cases. - Saudi Arabia has administered more than 49.2 million (49,204,472) doses of corona vaccine all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers, of them booster doses are 1,240,549 and the elderly people received 1,731,725 doses.
- The Ministry also revealed that more than 23 million (23,032,795) second doses administered in the Kingdom and over 24.93 million (24,931,128) first doses of vaccine against corona virus.
- In the last 24 hours, The Ministry of Health has performed 78,214 corona tests, so far 32,678,701 covid-19 tests since the beginning of the pandemic in the Kingdom. Download Saudi Expatriates app from Play Store
