Saudi Arabia temporarily Suspends all Public and Private Schools and Universities from 9th March

Schools and Universities in Saudi Arabia will be closed from Monday (9th March) in order to control the spread of novel coronavirus (Covid-19), As per the precautionary measure recommended by the health authorities of the Kingdom. The Ministry of Education of Saudi Arabia said the aim of the preventive and precautionary measure is to protect students and staff, It applies on both private and public schools and technical and vocational training institutions. - However, The Minister of Education said that virtual schools and distance education to be activated while the closure of schools in order to ensure the educational process continues in an effective and quality manner.




- The Ministry to set up supervision offices to help in coordination of distance learning and respond to parents inquiries, A new committee to ensure the work on the virtual schools are functioning through the distance learning methods as stated by ministry. - The virtual school platform is available on Vschool.sa and materials are available for download in the Apple and Andorid devices. The lessons will also be on "Ain" TV channel and Youtube Channel Youtube.com/dorosien
