98-Octane Gasoline in Saudi Arabia: Price, Locations, Details
Saudi Aramco has introduced a new 98-octane gasoline priced at SR2.88 per liter. This new fuel adds more choices for customers and expands Aramco’s fuel products without changing or removing any existing gasoline types in the market.
The 98-octane gasoline is being launched first in Riyadh, Jeddah, the Dammam metropolitan area, and the highways connecting these cities.
Aramco clarified that these locations are home to the majority of vehicles requiring this type of fuel.

Only high-performance and sports vehicles use 98-octane gasoline, according to Aramco.
These vehicles make up no more than 0.5% of all cars in Saudi Arabia. Using 98-octane gasoline does not provide any extra benefit for cars with economical or medium-compression engines.
According to Aramco, 98-octane gasoline is specially developed for sports cars and high-performance engines that need a higher octane level to run properly and efficiently.
The fuel has been added to Aramco’s fuel lineup without affecting current gasoline products. It gives customers more options while meeting the growing demand for specialized fuels used by high-performance vehicles.
The cities chosen for the launch are those with the biggest concentration of vehicles designed to run on 98-octane fuel. Aramco affirmed that the introduction of this gasoline will not disrupt the supply of 91-octane and 95-octane fuels and that all fuel products will continue to fulfill high-quality standards.
