Emergency Siren Test in Saudi Arabia: What Residents Should Know on November 3
The General Directorate of Civil Defense of Saudi Arabia will carry out a fixed siren test on Monday, November 3, in the Riyadh, Tabuk, and Makkah regions.
The sirens will be heard in:
➤ Riyadh Region: Diriyah, Al-Kharj, and Al-Dilam governorates
➤ Tabuk Region: All governorates
➤ Makkah Region: Jeddah and Thuwal governorates. Trending: Saudi Arabia cracks down on recruitment offices violating Labor laws
The purpose of this test is to increase public awareness and ensure that residents know how to respond to official alerts during emergencies.
This trial also helps confirm that the warning systems are working properly and are ready to alert people when needed.
The warning schedule is as follows:
✅ 1:00 p.m. – Behavior tone message broadcast
✅ 1:10 p.m. – National alert tone message broadcast
✅ 1:15 p.m. – Fixed sirens activated in the selected areas.
The test will also include checking the National Early Warning Platform across all regions of Saudi Arabia. This will be done through the cellular broadcast service, which sends warning messages to mobile phones with a special alert sound, at the same time as the siren test in the chosen regions.
