Saudi Ministry Updates Vehicle Inspection Facility Requirements for 2025
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has established new guidelines and requirements for vehicle inspection facilities. These updates are part of efforts to keep people safe, improve city planning, and attract more investment in vehicle services.
The ministry said inspection centers are now divided into four types. The division depends on their size, how many inspection lanes they have, and the kinds of vehicles they check. Some centers will be for trucks, trailers, and vehicles that carry dangerous materials. There will also be mobile inspection vehicles with special systems. The new rules also explain how sites should be designed. They cover building spaces, parking areas, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, and fire safety. All centers must follow the Saudi Building Code. They must also provide facilities and services for people with disabilities according to full accessibility standards.
For daily operations, the rules require surveillance cameras, electronic payment methods, clear signs, and digital codes for licenses. Centers must do regular cleaning and maintenance, control waste, give workers protective equipment, and follow instructions from the authorities.
The ministry also said that investors cannot add extra activities not included in their license or use sidewalks and public spaces without official approval. A clear system has been created to handle complaints and ensure fairness and transparency.
These new rules form a full framework that explains how to build and run vehicle inspection centers. They aim to meet investor needs, improve the quality of services, and ensure better compliance in this important sector. Recommend: New draft regulations permits advertisements inside taxis
In the end, the purpose of these requirements is to make inspection centers more effective, improve road safety and city planning, and provide better services to the public. All of this supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
