Saudi Arabia surpasses 100 million visitors again in 2024

Released on Sunday, the 2024 Annual Statistical Report on Saudi Arabia's tourism sector details an 11% increase in spending for both domestic and international travel in the past year, reaching almost SR284 billion.

With almost 30 million visitors in 2024, an 8 percent increase from 2023, the kingdom saw its highest-ever number of inbound tourists, according to the ministry. The sum of SR168.5 billion was spent by tourists in 2024, representing a 19% increase from the year before.

With 86.2 million domestic tourists in 2024, a five percent rise from 2023, domestic tourism also saw excellent development. In addition, SR115.3 billion was spent on domestic tourism in 2024.

According to Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb, the leadership of the Kingdom is essential in achieving the impressive results highlighted in the 2024 report.

The study sheds light on the sector's rapid expansion, led by the efforts of the ministry and other players in Saudi Arabia’s tourism ecosystem, and he noted that tourism has become a key component of Saudi Vision 2030.
