The decision is final and will be implemented right away. However, the current businesses will be given a grace period of no longer than 6 months.

The new rules state that mini-markets, grocery stores, and kiosks are forbidden to sell meat, dates, fruit, or vegetables or tobacco goods (including electronic cigarettes, shisha, and ordinary cigarettes).

Supply stores (supermarkets) can legally sell all of these items; however, selling meat requires a separate license. Recommend: What is the possibility of canceling two years old Huroob report

Supermarkets, hypermarkets, and grocery stores are now able to sell charger cables and prepaid recharge cards thanks to the revisions.

Another requirement of the new rules is that supermarkets must have 100 square meters of floor space, hypermarkets must have 500 square meters of floor space, and grocery stores or baqalas must have 24 square meters. Trending: Saudi Arabia updates transaction charges on credit cards
