88 million passengers used Saudi Airports in the Year 2022


The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) in Saudi Arabia has reported that 88 million individuals travelled by domestic and international flights in the Kingdom in the Year 2022, a rise of 82% from the Year 2021. Join Saudi Expatriates Whatsapp group







According to the GASTAT bulletin's air transport data for the Year 2022, there were 1,443 establishments engaged in operations related to air carriers.

- This includes passenger carriers, air freight carriers, and related service providers, like transportation and cargo handling businesses, as well as other supporting operations, which saw a 20% growth. Recommend : 4 Saudi cities ranked in smartest cities in the World for the Year 2023

- The number of men working in the aviation industry reached 28,000, a 38% rise, while the number of women working in the industry reached 4,000, a 70% increase from the Year 2021.





- According to GASTAT, there were 41% more flights, with Saudi Arabian Airlines having the most flights overall.

- There were typically 6,000 aircraft per day entering and leaving domestic airports in the Kingdom, as per the report of GASTAT.

- With 32 million travelers, Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) ranks first for having the highest passenger density. The number of private flights increased by 41% from the Year 2021 to 64,000 flights, a total.




- GASTAT further stated that 56 nations are now connected to Saudi airports, an increase of 10 countries from the year 2021. Most Viewed : King Salman Airport to be one of the largest airports in teh world
