Qatar requires all Travelers from China to have a Corona Test


Qatar requires all travelers from China to have a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours of their flight departure before they can enter into its country.  See Also : 3 penalties awaiting for self-employed violated expats in Saudi Arabia







This came from the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar on its released statement on Sunday stating "Starting from 6 PM of 3rd January 2023 (Tuesday), all passengers from China must submit a negative corona virus PCR test result at the check-in counter. The PCR test must be taken with 48 hours of departure".

- The above rule applies to all travelers coming from China, regardless of their Covid-19 vaccination status. It is a temporary restriction, to secure passengers against the virus since China is currently experience a Corona wave, says the Ministry. Beside this, the Ministry also lists General policies with regards to Covid-19 and travel to Qatar.

* Travelers must keep themselves informed about any changes to policies through official sources and websites before planning to travel to Qatar.





* Passengers must stick to the measures in place in Qatar to limit the spread of corona virus at all times.

* Quarantine is no longer required for all travelers arriving from abroad, however, those who tests positive for Covid-19 after arriving to Qatar must undergo self-isolation measures as per the procedures followed in Qatar. Read : List of Public Holidays in Saudi Arabia for the year 2023

* Citizens and resident expatriates of Qatar are no longer required to take Covid-19 tests upon their arrival into the Qatar.
