Arrival of 2nd Saudi plane for the relief of Flood victims in Pakistan


The second Saudi plane carrying 90 tons of food, health and shelter air arrived in Pakistan Today, to benefit more than 9,500 people affected due to torrential rains and floods, as part of Saudi air bridge operated by the King Salman for Relief and Humanitarian Action. While, the first Saudi plane carrying 90 tons of food, shelter and health aid reached the city of Karachi in Pakistan, to benefit over 9,500 affected people, constituting the first pioneers of the Saudi relief air bridge, in implementation of the orders of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

- The Ambassador of the Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, explained that the humanitarian aid provided by the Kingdom to the Pakistani people comes to reduce the suffering of those affected by the wave of torrential rains and floods that hit the number of Pakistani cities and regions, resulting in severe losses of life and property. - He highlighted that this embodies the strong brotherly relations that unite the two brotherly peoples, and is an extension of Saudi Arabia's support to Pakistan in various humanitarian and relief sectors.





- The aid comes as the symbol of the great humanitarian role played by the Kingdom, represented by the King Salman Relief Center, towards brotherly and friendly countries in various crises and pains.

- The Saudi ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf Al-Maliki, said that Saudi Arabia is one of the first countries that began providing food to the brothers in Pakistan, through the King Salman Relief Center, noting that more than 15,000 food baskets have been distributed during the last period. - He added that, Kingdom worked on 4 sides to provide relief to those affected by floods in various regions of Pakistan, the first of which is the axis of food and shelter. The second axis is the operation of an air bridge to relieve the affected, pointing out that the second plane arrived at Karachi airport.

- While the third axis, he explained that it represented the inauguration of the national campaign for the relief of the Pakistani people, noting that the fourth axis, which is the remainder, during which all damages to infrastructure, especially in schools and homes, will be accounted for.
