Saudi Public Health Authority continues the ban of Shisha in closed places


The Public health Authority (Weqaya) in Saudi Arabia said the ban continues on molasses and hookahs (shisha) in closed places and limiting them to serve only in open places. Download Saudi Expatriates app on Android phone







This came after the latest update of the protocols for restaurants and cafes, after the Ministry of Interior announce of lifting all precautionary and preventive measures related to combating corona pandemic, including the following.

1. No need to wear mask in closed places, except in the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madina and in the places where protocols are issued by the Public Health Authority, or in companies, activities, events, public transportation that wish to apply higher levels of continuity of protection, requiring to wear mask to enter it, while continuing to raise awareness and urge its use. 2. Immunization and health verification are not required in Tawakkalna application to enter facilities, activities, events, while boarding planes and public transportation, except for those whose nature requires immunization, continuing to verify health status, as per the public health requirements Weqaya or facilities, activities, occasions, events, public transportation who wish to implement higher levels of protection by continuing to require immunization or verification of health status.

3. The duration of the requirement to take 3rd booster dose of the corona vaccine to leave citizens outside the Kingdom is 8 months instead of 3 months from receiving the 2nd dose, with the exception of the age groups specified or exempted by the Ministry of health as per their Tawakkalna status.
