Labor Court rules in favor of 149 employees, awards 28 million riyals in Financial claims from a Company


A Labor court in Riyadh issued its ruling in favor of 149 workers of 10 nationalities, who complained against the company they worked with to secure financial claims are estimated at 28 million riyals. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Twitter







The employees had filed a collective lawsuit on the 21st of last Ramadan (April), and their demand varied, between demanding last salary, demanding the delivery of unenjoyed vacation payment and end of service benefits. 

- The ruling was issued for the first batch of 119 employees on 12th May while the ruling for the second group of 30 employees was issued on 22nd May. Trending : Saudi Arabia now allows cancellation of Huroob without the consent of Employers on these conditions





- Among the most important cases heard by labor courts are, disputes of work contracts, wages and rights, work injuries and compensation for them, the employer's imposition of disciplinary sanctions on the worker or related to the request for exemption from them, lawsuits filed to impose penalties stipulated in the Saudi Labor Law and disputes arising from the application of the Labor Law and Social Insurance Law.

- The Ministry of Justice allows the parties to the dispute to file cases with the labor courts electronically through Nejaz portal, for all types of cases, whether labor cases subject to Labor Law, or cases of domestic workers and the similar, as well as complaints of employers and workers against decision issued by the GOSI, regarding subscription, registration and compensation.
