GACA directs Airlines to refund Institutional Quarantine fee received while booking flight tickets to Saudi Arabia
The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia has ordered all airlines operating in the Kingdom, including the General Aviation, to refund the institutional quarantine package fee taken from passengers while booking their flight ticket before the government announcement to scrap the institutional quarantine requirement.
The GACA highlighted that, non-compliance with the directives contained in its circular is an explicit violation of government orders. GACA warned all the airlines it will take the legal action against the violators and hold them accountable for the violation. - The General Authority of Civil Aviation in its circular stated that the mandatory corona institutional quarantine and home quarantine are no longer required for travelers upon their arrival in Saudi Arabia. No need for passengers to submit a negative PCR test result before coming to the Kingdom.
- The Civil Aviation Authority specified that those coming to Saudi Arabia on visit visas of all kinds are required insurance that cover the costs of treatment from Covi-19 infection during their stay in the Kingdom. Join Saudi Expatriates on Telegram
- The Authority directive came after the announcement from Ministry of Interior on 5th March, stating the Kingdom scrapping all corona virus restrictions in the country including social distancing and wearing masks outdoor or in open places.
- The decision also stipulated that, there will be no longer social distancing in the Two Holy Mosques and all the mosques in the Kingdom but worshipers still need to wear masks.
