Expats of 19 countries to benefit from automatic Extension of Iqama, Exit Re-Entry and Visit visa


The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia announced that expats from 19 countries who are facing temporary suspension of travel due to the outbreak of Covid-19 are going to benefit from the recent decision of automatic extension of iqamas, exit re-entry and visits until 31st March 2022, without any charge. The 19 countries expats who are going to benefit from this extension are Afghanistan, Turkey, Lebanon, Ethiopia, South Africa,  Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, Botswana, Malawi, Zambia, Madagascar, Angola, Seychelles, Mauritius, Comoros and Nigeria.

- Earlier this, Jawazat announced the start of automatic extension of iqamas, exit re-entry visa of expats who are outside the Kingdom and are in suspended countries until 31st March 2022. - The order of the Saudi Arabia's King includes the extension of visit visa for visitors until 31st March 2022 through Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for those who are outside Saudi Arabia and are facing travel ban from their countries.





- However, this extension excludes those all who took at least one dose in Saudi Arabia before leaving the Kingdom on exit re-entry visa.

- This extensions comes as part of government continuous efforts in order to deal with effects of Corona virus pandemic. It also falls within precautionary and preventive measures that ensure the safety of citizens and expats, to contribute in reducing financial and economic impacts of the pandemic.
