Corona Vaccine doses given in the Kingdom has risen to more than 36 million doses
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced that it had provided more than 36 million (36,035,274) doses of Corona vaccine to Saudi citizens, resident expatriates and visitors all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers. Join Saudi Expatriates on Whatsapp Group
The Ministry statistics revealed that, people who received first doses in the Kingdom reached to 21.9 million (21,901,400) and those who received 2 doses of Corona vaccine reached to more than 14.1 million (14,133,874), while the elderly people received more than 1.58 million (1,586,090) doses.
- The Ministry of Health recommended that everyone should stick to the precautionary measures and take the initiative to book an appointment through the Sehhaty application to get the Corona vaccine, explaining that Corona variants are rapidly spreading, and requires taking two doses of the vaccine to prevent them. - The Ministry confirmed that, it made more than 14 million appointments available in the Sehhaty app to receive the Corona vaccine during the month of August, matching with the return of schools, and in the desire of health to provide the opportunity for all targets, especially students, to take the vaccine.
- The total number of appointments booked during the same period exceeded 8 million, while the number of doses of the vaccine given to the age group of 12 to 18 years reached more than 4 million doses, during the month of August, added health ministry. - The Ministry of Health stated the importance of achieving a safe return to school, by taking the 2 doses of the Corona vaccine, wearing a mask, washing hands and applying physical distancing, in addition to not sharing anything between the students and colleagues.
- The ministry pointed out that this step comes as a continuation of its efforts to expand the administration of the vaccine, it is possible to book appointments through the Sehhaty application and the Tawakkalna application, explaining that the national campaign for the Corona vaccine is proceeding according to what was planned.
