UAE reveals the presence of 3 mutated strains of Covid-19 in the country


The Ministry of Health in United Arab Emirates (UAE) revealed the presence of mutated Alpha, Beta and Delta strains of the Corona virus in the country, and that it is the most widespread in the Emirates currently.







The official spokeswoman of the UAE's health ministry, Dr. Farida Al Hosani, stated that deaths in the country increased during the past week due to the spread of viral mutants, in addition to the failure to adhere to preventive measures and fear of vaccines.

- Al Hosani said, based on the genetic investigation system for strains in the country, the most common strain is the beta strain with 39.2%, followed by the delta with 33.9% and finally the alpha strain with 11.3%, which are mutated strains that have been monitored in many countries of the world. - She calls all to join hands and unify efforts and speed up in taking vaccinations, explaining that 71% of all the country's population have been vaccinated with vaccines against the Corona virus, which is equivalent to about 92% of the eligible category.





- The spokeswoman highlighted that Corona vaccines have been effective in reducing the number of patients who need hospitalization and intensive cares as well as in lowering the death rate.

- Yesterday (27th June), UAE announces 2,122 new Corona cases, 2,077 new recoveries and 4 new deaths, bringing the total number of infections to 626,936 of which 605,618 recovered and 1,796 deaths. Recommend : No deaths reported among vaccinated people in Saudi Arabia - Health Ministry
