 Ministry of HR issues a decision to raise Minimum wage to 4000SR for Saudis to calculate in Nitaqat


The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development of Saudi Arabia, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, issued a ministerial decision to raise the minimum salary calculation for Saudis in "Nitaqat" from 3,000 to 4,000  Saudi riyals.



The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development published a press release, which stated that, as per the decision, “it is a condition for the Saudi worker to be calculated in the Saudization percentage of the Nitaqat program by 1 worker, His monthly salary should not be less than 4,000 Saudi riyals.

- A Saudi employee whose monthly salary is equal to 3,000 riyals is also calculated by only half of the Saudization percentage in the “Nitaqat” program. A Saudi worker whose monthly salary is less than 3,000 riyals is not calculated in the Saudization percentage of the “Nitaqat” program.

- The Saudi worker whose monthly salary is more than 3,000 riyals and less than 4,000 riyals is calculated by only half of the Saudization percentage in the “Nitaqat” program. Trending : New amendments regarding Job Transfer of Expat worker

- The part time worker is also calculated in the Saudization percentage in the “Nitaqat” program as half of a Saudi worker for the benefit of the company he works for, social insurance contributions are paid with a minimum monthly salary of 3,000 riyals, it is not calculated in the percentage of Saudization with more than 2 companies.

- A employee with the flexible work system is calculated in the nationalization percentage in the “Nitaqat” program by one-third of a Saudi worker for the company he works for, provided that he completes a total of 168 work hours and pays social insurance contributions, taking into account ministerial decisions regarding flexible work. - The decision includes Saudi students residing in the Kingdom who regularly work part time, permanent workers, and flexible work system workers.
