 What is the period required to Medically insured the new Employee? CCHI Responds

The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance in Saudi Arabia has revealed the period during which the employer or sponsor is required to insure his new employee, indicating that the employer is required to insure him from the moment he joins work.

- In response to an inquiry in this regard, the health council stated - through its Twitter that “the employer is obligated to insure the employee and all members of his family who are covered by the system, and the worker is considered eligible for insurance from the date he joining in work.”

- The health insurance had earlier confirmed that the employer is required to insure all his employees and their family members covered by the system, namely, “wives, male children up to the age of 25 and unmarried daughters who are not working,” without specifying the number.
