The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance in Saudi Arabia has revealed the period during which the employer or sponsor is required to insure his new employee, indicating that the employer is required to insure him from the moment he joins work.

A Saudi citizen asked an inquiry in which he said: “If a new employee or worker is employed, what is the permissible period for the employee to remain without medical insurance?” Trending : Egypt discovers 13 coffins with 2500 year old mummies

- In response to an inquiry in this regard, the health council stated - through its Twitter that “the employer is obligated to insure the employee and all members of his family who are covered by the system, and the worker is considered eligible for insurance from the date he joining in work.”

- The health insurance had earlier confirmed that the employer is required to insure all his employees and their family members covered by the system, namely, “wives, male children up to the age of 25 and unmarried daughters who are not working,” without specifying the number.
