Official Holidays, Personal Leaves and Annual Vacation in Saudi Arabia's Labor Law

Holidays and Official Leaves in Saudi Labor Law:

Each and every employee in Saudi Arabia shall be entitled to Eid Al-Fitr holidays for the period of 4 days starting from the day after 29th Ramadan as per Umm Al-Qura calendar. Trending : Pharmacy jobs to be localized in Saudi Arabia

Each and every employee in Saudi Arabia shall be entitled for Eid Al-Adha holidays for the period of 4 days starting from the day of Arafat (9th Dhu Al-Hijjah).

Each and every employee in Saudi Arabia shall be entitled for Saudi National Day Holiday in the first day, In case it falls on the day Weekend day, The employee compensates it on Thursday if falls on Friday and on Sunday if it falls on Saturday. See Also : Iqama renewal fee for expats from 2020

Annual Vacation in Saudi Labor Law:

An employee in Saudi Arabia shall be entitled to an annual leave of not less than 21 days, It shall be increased to 30 days, if the employee spends 5 consecutive years with the employer, Annual leave shall be paid in advance.

An employee shall enjoy his vacation leave in the year it is due, he may reject it or receive cash in instead during his service period. Read : Al Ula Guinness World Record

An employee shall be entitled to a salary for the follow days of the leave, if he left the work without using vacation leave in his service period. It is also possible for the employee to get annual pay for the parts of the year in proportion to the part spent at work.

Personal Leaves in Saudi Labor Law:

All employees in Saudi Arabia have a right to a leave with full pay in any of the below cases

1. Five days paid leave in case of death of a spouse.
2. Five days paid leave upon getting marriage.
3. Three days paid leave when birth of child

* However Employer may request any supportive documents for all the above mentioned cases. Recommend : Exit re Entry visa rules

* All female employees are entitled for paid leave as provided in the Saudi Arabia's Labor Law.
