New Jazan International Airport Nears Completion, Emir Reviews Progress
The Emir of the Jazan Region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz, visited the new Jazan International Airport project to check work progress and review the latest developments at the site.
The prince received information about the various stages of construction during his visit. Officials confirmed that the project has reached 92% completion.
The new airport is designed to serve up to 5.4 million passengers each year. It will include modern facilities and services built to international standards, with the goal of improving passenger comfort and increasing operational efficiency. Prince Mohammed also received a detailed presentation from Ali Masrahi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Second Airports Cluster Company, who explained the main components of the project.
The airport covers a total area of about 48 million square meters. It includes a main passenger terminal with a size of 57,000 square meters.
Once completed, the airport will have:
➤ 12 boarding gates
➤ 10 aircraft bridges
➤ 32 check-in counters
➤ 8 self-service kiosks
➤ 2,000 parking spaces
➤ 4 waiting lounges

The project is likely to be an enormous help in making air travel better in the Jazan area while assisting it to flourish in the future.
