Expat Workers Send SR12.6bn from Saudi Arabia as Remittances



Remittances sent by expatriates working in Saudi Arabia increased by five percent in November 2025, reaching about SR12.6 billion, according to official data. This marks an increase compared to SR12.03 billion in November 2024.

Data released by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) also showed that foreign remittances declined on a monthly basis. In November 2025, remittances fell by SR1.04 billion, or eight percent, compared to October 2025.

The report also indicated that Saudi residents living overseas were sending less money home. These remittances fell by 22% in November 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, bringing the total to SR4.8 billion. This number is the lowest it has been in the past 21 months.
