Brave Saudi Man Rescues Two Chinese Nationals After Vehicle Overturns in Al-Shamli Flood
Saudi citizen Ahmed Al-Anzi saved two Chinese residents after their vehicle overturned and was carried away by floodwaters in Al-Shamli Governorate, southwest of Hail, on Sunday evening.
Hamoud Masamah Al-Anzi and Mubarak Farih Al-Anzi were traveling with Ahmed Al-Anzi when they spotted the overturned car in the flood. Recommend: 42 Indian Umrah pilgrims feared dead after a Saudi bus accident
When they realized two people were trapped inside, Ahmed immediately entered the strong, fast-moving water. He pulled both Chinese residents out and brought them to safety, even though he risked being swept away by the powerful current.
This rescue happened during widespread flash floods across Saudi Arabia, including the regions of Makkah, Madinah, and Riyadh, after heavy rain and thunderstorms.
The National Centre for Meteorology had already issued alerts warning of heavy rainfall in many parts of the Kingdom.
The downpours came shortly after mosques across Saudi Arabia held a special prayer asking for rain. See Also: Saudi TGA arrests several people for illegal transport
