GCC Countries Work Toward Unified Justice System and Cybercrime Law
The justice ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries met for the 35th session in Kuwait. Dr. Walid Al-Samaani, the Saudi Minister of Justice, was there as well. The discussion was mostly about how to make the justice ministries of the GCC work together better and deal with common legal problems.
The ministers talked about developing a single Gulf policy to improve coordination among justice ministries and looked over proposed rules to fight cybercrime. These actions aim to fortify the Gulf's justice system and facilitate collaboration in addressing emerging legal issues. See Also: Saudi Jawazat explains Iqama renewal rules for workers in 2025
The group also discussed a few agenda items that would help integrate the courts and assist collaborative legal efforts in all GCC countries.
During the opening session, Kuwaiti Minister of Justice Nasser Al-Sumait emphasized the importance of continuing to apply the decisions made in previous meetings to keep coordination strong among member states. He noted that GCC countries are currently experiencing significant progress in their judicial systems and growing cooperation between them.
Al-Sumait said that Kuwait’s hosting of the meeting reflects its continued role in supporting joint Gulf efforts. He highlighted that justice is a key pillar of development and stability in every society.
He also stated that the GCC countries enjoy security, stability, and unity, which helps them move forward toward greater judicial cooperation and integration. Al-Sumait reaffirmed the ministers’ commitment to working together to promote justice and support development in the Gulf region. Trending: Guide to renew exit re-entry visa online in Saudi Arabia
