Weqaya in Saudi Arabia recommends to wear Mask in Crowded places


The Public Health Authority (Weqaya) in Saudi Arabia has called the Saudi citizens and resident expatriates to wear masks while visiting the crowded places, this is for your protection and as a precaution against respiratory infections. The Authority added that, this recommendation is part of an effort to keep individuals and others safe from spreading the infectious diseases.

- The Authority's Assistant Executive President for contagious disease control, Dr. Emad Al-Mohammadi, stressed that the main reason for advising people to wear masks in crowded places, especially in the winter, is to stop respiratory infection that tend to spread during this time.

- The Weqaya also said that, the advice to wear masks is not just for COVID-19 and its variations, but for all contagious diseases. Recommend : Ramadan 2024 is expected to begin from this date in Saudi Arabia

- Dr. Al-Mohammadi also said that people with long-term illnesses, the elderly, pregnant women, people whose immune systems are not strong enough, and hospital guests should all wear masks to protect themselves from respiratory diseases.

- The Saudi Public Health Authority stated that, if you suffer from symptoms of respiratory infections, avoid leaving the house and interacting with others, or be sure to wear a mask when you go out and not to spread the infection.
